Dante went through plenty of redesigns before reaching his final one , an example of his earlier designs looking like the other puppies in shape to make him younger. One design has him with a green Mohawk, and another with a spot on his left ear that looks like a human skull. Most show him with three other collars with his spiked one, ranging from black to green and finally white, but seemed to be toned down to just a black and green one until it was cut entirely. Finally, when getting closer to his final design, Dante's purple spots used to be pink, and one shows him with just a large pink marking instead of spots, but these were soon replaced.

Dante

Dante Dalmatian is a male Dalmatian dog and one of the main characters of 101 Dalmatian Street. He is one of the 98 other siblings among Delilah and Doug.

Personality

Dante is a gloomy goth.[1] He often talks about the world most likely ending. He does this in over dramatic ways, such as making proclamations in a deep ominous voice or have cryptic warnings that he adds an echo effect to.

Despite having a morbid outlook to life, there are times when he behaves causally with his siblings.

He appears to have the ability to break the fourth wall, since in "A Summer to Remember, Part 2", and "The De Vil Wears Puppies, Part 2", he talks to the audience, showing what happened in the previous episode of the series.

Physical Appearance

Dante has black fur with white spots on his body and on one ear[1], and purple spots on the other. His collar is grey and has spikes around it.

When he is around his siblings, it is noticeable that he is probably one of the oldest puppies, maybe only surpassed by Dylan and Dolly.

Behind the scenes

Design

Dante went through plenty of redesigns before reaching his final one , an example of his earlier designs looking like the other puppies in shape to make him younger. One design has him with a green Mohawk, and another with a spot on his left ear that looks like a human skull. Most show him with three other collars with his spiked one, ranging from black to green and finally white, but seemed to be toned down to just a black and green one until it was cut entirely. Finally, when getting closer to his final design, Dante's purple spots used to be pink, and one shows him with just a large pink marking instead of spots, but these were soon replaced.

Trivia

  • Dante was probably named after Dante Alighieri, 13th century poet most known for his Divine Comedy which is widely considered the most important poem of the Middle Ages.
