Dawkins Dalmatian is a supporting character in 101 Dalmatian Street. He is a male dalmatian and one of the 99 puppies of Delilah and Doug. He often acts as Dylan's under-appreciated sidekick.

Dawkins has made major appearances in many episodes of the series. He is often seen with his transitional object, Princess Positron.

Dawkins' design from the pilot of the series featured him with all-black ears, spots on his cheeks that resemble freckles, and rings around his eyes that resemble glasses. His collar also has a molecule tag.

Dawkins' final design is similar to his design from the pilot, with some minor changes: the rings around his eyes were replaced with full spots, and he has a different molecule on his collar, among other minor changes. Dawkins made his debut in the series premiere, "Dog's Best Friend," where he made a brief, one-line cameo.

Dawkins is a science nerd and the most intelligent of the dalmatians. He also shares many of the same interests as Dylan. Dawkins is very attached to his plush toy, Princess Positron. His catchphrase is "Oh, kibbles!", which he often exclaims when Dylan and Dolly leave him in charge. Dylan usually exclaims “Chop, chop!” whenever he gives Dawkins a task, as seen in “Dawkins Strikes Back.”

Although he debuted in "Dog's Best Friend," Dawkins' first major role in an episode was in "Winter Funderland," where he helps Dolly create snow in the Dalmatian house. “Dal-Martians” shows that Dawkins somewhat dislikes being Dylan’s sidekick, ultimately joining Dolly in pranking Dylan. “Poodlewolf!” and “Poodlefall!” show that Dawkins is a fan of Poodlewolf, knowing much of the extensive lore and playing the franchise’s board game using the Inventicus piece.

Dawkins' most major role was in "Dawkins Strikes Back," where he, after getting tired of Dylan and Dolly leaving him in charge, goes on strike. After the Canal Crew see him struggling to relax, they teach him their ways of laziness. When Dylan finds Dawkins and asks him to return to fix the malfunctioning inventions of 101 Dalmatian Street, Dawkins hesitantly refuses. However, when Dolly asks him later, he is more convinced and returns home. After some negotiating (with the help of Big Fee), Dawkins is given more credit for his work and more reasonable breaks.

Dawkins also stars in one of the Gigglebug Guarantee shorts, "Target Pups," where he and Dylan test out the Kibble Pump.

Notes

• Dawkins is the only pup to call Doug by his first name instead of "Dad."
• His collar strikes a major resemblance to a molecular diagram of a CH3 (Methyl) group. It might also be an Ammonia (NH3) molecule.
• Despite Dylan creating the many inventions in the Dalmatian House, Dawkins is better at repairing them.
• In the "In the House" song, Dawkins is listed third in order, indicating his role as the third in charge after Dylan and Dolly.
• Dawkins states that his muzzle chaps easily in "Winter Funderland."
• As confirmed by series creator Miklos Weigert, Dawkins is on the autism spectrum.
• With the exception of Dylan and Dolly, Dawkins appears in more episodes than any other character in 101 Dalmatian Street (see Most Frequently Recurring Characters of 101 Dalmatian Street).
