Dimitri 1, Dimitri 2, and Dimitri 3 Dalmatian are triplet Dalmatians and recurring characters in 101 Dalmatian Street. They are three of Delilah and Doug's 99 puppies. The Dimitris are wisecracking puppies who tend to cause trouble. However, they can also be somewhat considerate and helpful, though not without their usual mischievous behavior.
Development and design[]
The Dimitris gleefully crash into a wall in their debut appearance.
The Dimitris are likely some of the final major Dalmatian characters developed for 101 Dalmatian Street. While the rest of the main Dalmatians are given designs and bios in the November 2017 series bible, the Dimitris are only mentioned among other names for the background puppies. They were previously listed this way in the bible dated June 7, 2016.
Some concept art of the Dimitris show them with different designs for their ears and tails. Others show them with clothing, including hats, scarfs, and sunglasses. The final three letters of the "Dimitri" name are derived from the prefix "tri-," meaning three.
In their final design, each Dimitri is given their own gold chain with their respective number. They also have spots that differentiate them; the spots over their eyes respectively translate to "one," "two," and "three" in Binaire and they have a certain number of white spots on their ears that represent their order. Their hind legs are all black, making them resemble pants. Additionally, they each have lightning-bolt-shaped spots on their foreheads that resemble hair. They also have cuts in their ears to reflect their reckless personalities.
Background[]

Dimitri 1, 2, and 3 are trouble-making puppies who often make mocking remarks toward others. They frequently tease their siblings, including Deepak in "The Wow of Miaow" and Dante in "Dante's Inferno." They have also clashed with Constantin (as they dislike cats) and the Postman (whom they attack in "London, We Have a Problem"). The Dimitris make their debut in "Winter Funderland" as background characters and would later have larger supporting roles in "The Wow of Miaow" and "Diamond Dogs." In other episodes, they usually have minor speaking parts.
The Dimitris function as a collective with seemingly identical voices, personalities, and motivations. However, some instances have hinted at subtle differences between them. For example, Dimitri 1 reveals in "The Nose Job" that he has a "force of habit" when it comes to chewing ropes, a trait the other two Dimitris don't seem to exhibit. Additionally, Dimitri 3 has a slightly deeper voice than the other two Dimitris in certain scenes. Dimitri 1 acts as the "leader" of the trio, as he has more dialogue than the other two and mostly speaks on behalf of the whole group.
Despite the Dimitris' mischievous tendencies, they have been helpful on some occasions, though their well-meaning acts of support are usually soured by their recklessness. Such is the case in "Diamond Dogs"; for Dorothy's sake, the triplets join Dylan, Dolly, and Diesel in their reverse-heist at Clarissa's house, but they make a mess of the home during their break-in. They additionally attempt to help Dylan and Diesel in the "Dylan's Adventure" chapter in D is for Dalmatians with similar disastrous results.

Notes[]
- Despite being three of the twenty characterized Dalmatians in the series, the Dimitris have been distanced or even excluded from the rest of their family in promotional material. For example, they are absent from the theme song, most of the key art for the series (including the Dalmatian family portrait), and are listed considerably further from the main Dalmatians in "In the House."
- As implied by series creator Miklós Weigert, two of the Dimitris are members of the LGBTQ+ community.[1]
