Dodie McDot is the unseen owner of the Dalmatian family in 101 Dalmatian Street. He is described in bibles for the series as an eccentric billionaire, formerly-successful artist, and mysterious recluse.
The elderly McDot was once famous for his polka-dot-related artworks, using his pet Dalmatian Delilah as his model. With the money obtained from his success, he purchased 101 Dalmatian Street for Delilah and her litter. However, his popularity died down when the art world grew tired of his "black-and-white period," resulting in McDot losing his money.
After his success faded, McDot moved to a far-away island, leaving his Dalmatians with 101 Dalmatian Street to themselves. He keeps in touch with the Dalmatians via phone and "international bank transfer."
Notes[]
- Dodie McDot is named after Dodie Smith, author of the original Hundred and One Dalmatians novel.
