"The Longest Night" is the fortieth episode of 101 Dalmatian Street and the second part of the twentieth episode in the Disney+ release.
The episode originally aired in Italy on December 29, 2019.[1] It then aired in the UK on February 5, 2020.
Plot[]

Hansel and Fergus invite Dylan to the Longest Night, an annual tradition in Hansel's family in which huskies prove their courage by spending the night outside. Dylan hesitantly accepts and brings along Dawkins; Diesel later joins the group as well. Meanwhile, Dolly, Roxy, and Snowball get back at the boys for not inviting them by pretending to be the Ice Troll, a mythical monster that Hansel tells a ghost story about during the Longest Night. Throughout the night, Hansel's group hears growls, stomps, and other noises from the bushes, frightening them. Eventually, Dylan confronts the troll (which is actually Snowball in disguise), proving his bravery. Hansel confesses that he does not enjoy the tradition or having to prove himself as an "alpha-male" to his family. In the end, Dolly, Roxy, and Snowball are accepted into the Longest Night tradition, as well as Big Fee, who was banned the previous year for blowing her nose into Hansel's tail.

Notes[]
- This episode, along with "The Curse of the Ferrydog," is the only episode of the series in which the Puppy Ensemble is absent.
- When Hansel tells his spooky story about the Ice Troll, he claims the beast seeks to make a fur coat out of puppies, a goal similar to Cruella De Vil's. Additionally, when Hansel says "puppies" at the end of his story, his voice is mixed with Cruella's voice.
- This episode was a finalist at the British Animation Awards 2020 for the award of both "Best Children's Series" and "Children's Choice Award."[2] On March 12, 2020, it lost both awards to Moominvalley and Shaun the Sheep: Squirreled Away, respectively.
